Hermit - 1928 This is one of Fonville's oldest prints, taken while he worked for a Fort Worth newspaper. As one of his assignments, he was sent to photograph this hermit. Fonville remembered that the hermit told him that he had developed an invention "that would do away with the need for women". Fonville liked to say, " and then I shot him." |
